ImScope is an experimental false color image processing instrument designed for evaluating plant health indicators using a wide range of commonly used filters and indexes.

NIR

Monochrome representation proportional to the near-infrared reflected. Since standard cameras and tablets block infrared light, the NIR value is estimated through calculations based on visible colors and saturation. This estimation, although rough, is utilized in all indexes and is particularly applicable to leaves under direct sunlight conditions.

NRG

In this transposed colors mode, red intensity corresponds to the estimated near-infrared, green corresponds to acquired red, and blue to acquired green.

NGB

This transposed colors mode features red intensity corresponding to the estimated near-infrared, while green and blue remain unchanged.

NGB > RGB

ABS

In ABS mode, red is proportional to red light absorbed by the object, and blue to the absorbed blue light. The displacement bar allows for the introduction of gray into the context. This mode can be particularly useful due to the differing absorption proportions of chlorophyll A and chlorophyll B for red and blue lights, respectively.

Indexed Modes:

Each following mode allows users to select a coefficient from 0 to 1 using a slider control where:

• RED: Points with index values very close to the selected value appear in red.
• GREEN: Points close to the selected value reduced by -0.2 appear in green.
• BLUE: Points close to the selected value minus -0.3 are represented in blue. Other points are displayed in grayscale.

This feature enables users to differentiate between various index values by adjusting the slider control, capturing subtle differences in image areas.

For example, selecting an NDVI index of 0.7 would display points close to that value in red, those near 0.5 in green, and those near 0.4 in blue for comparison.
